I'm Gino, a Belgian-certified plumber, electrician and heating & cooling technician with more than 20 years of experience, based in Hersonissos. People often ask me whether a job is "too small" or "too big" for me. The honest answer is that I take both. One day I replace a broken socket in an apartment, the next I plan the full technical installation of a new villa.

01 · Repairs

Most of my working days start with something that has stopped working: a tripping fuse, a leaking pipe, a water heater that stays cold or an A/C unit that blows warm air. Repairs are where my experience in several trades really pays off, because in a Cretan house a problem is often a mix of water, electrics and limescale at the same time.
I start by finding the real cause instead of just treating the symptom. When I know what is wrong, I explain whether a repair makes sense or whether replacing a part is the smarter choice. I carry common parts in the van, so many repairs are finished on the first visit.

02 · Replacements & upgrades
Replacing and Upgrading Water Heaters, Fuse Boxes and A/C Units in Crete
Sometimes repairing is no longer worth it. An old boiler full of limescale, a fuse box without proper protection or an A/C unit that is twenty years old will keep costing you money. In those cases I replace the equipment with something reliable and efficient, matched to how you actually use the property.
I always tell you honestly when a repair is still the better option. When replacement makes sense, I help you choose the right size and type, remove the old unit and connect the new one safely. It is also a good moment to upgrade, for example to a heat pump or a solar water heater.

A renovation in Crete often means coordinating several trades: plumbing, electrics, tiling, plaster and paint. Because I do the technical work myself and also take on the finishing, you have one point of contact instead of waiting for different people who never show up on the same day.
I renovate bathrooms, kitchens and complete apartments and houses, from older village homes to holiday rentals that need a refresh before the season. I start with a visit, discuss what you want and what the building allows, and then plan the work in a logical order. Owners abroad receive regular photo updates, so they can follow the progress from home.

04 · New-build projects

For new houses and villas I take care of the technical installations: water supply and drainage, electrics, heating, cooling and hot water. Getting these right during construction saves a lot of trouble later, because changing a pipe or cable once the floors are tiled is costly.
I like to be involved early, when the layout is still on paper. Then we can think together about where sockets, lights, A/C units, the boiler and the water tank should go, and how the house will be used in summer and winter. I work alongside your builder or architect and follow the construction phases on site.

05 · New installations
New Installations in Crete: A/C, Solar, EV Chargers, Lighting and More
Not every installation is part of a big project. Often you simply want to add something to an existing home: an extra A/C unit, outdoor lighting, a water filter, a camera system or a charger for your electric car. These are jobs I do every week.
Before I install anything, I check whether your existing electrics, water pressure or roof can handle it. That way the new installation works well from the first day and does not overload the rest of the house. I keep the work clean, explain how everything works and leave the manuals with you.

06 · Maintenance
Property Maintenance in Crete for Homes and Holiday Rentals
Regular maintenance prevents most of the emergencies I am called for. Salt air, hard water, strong sun and long empty periods all take their toll on houses in Crete. A yearly service of the A/C, a descaled water heater and a quick check of pumps and roofs keep small problems small.
I maintain homes for residents, owners who live abroad and managers of holiday rentals. Before the season I can go through the property, service the equipment and fix the small things that guests notice. After the season I prepare the house for winter. You receive photos and a short report, so you know what was done and what may need attention later.

07 · 24/7 emergencies
24/7 Emergency Plumber and Electrician in Crete
Some problems cannot wait until Monday: a burst pipe flooding the kitchen, a complete power failure, a water heater leaking through the ceiling or no water at all in a full holiday rental. For situations like these I am available 24/7, also at night and at weekends.
When you call, I first help you limit the damage by phone, for example by closing the main water valve or switching off the right breaker. Then I come out to make the situation safe and repair what is needed. If a full repair needs parts I do not have, I make a safe temporary fix and return as soon as possible.

No. I fix single taps, sockets and lights as well as large projects. If you have several small jobs, list them together so I can do them in one visit.
Do you work on new builds?
Yes. I install plumbing, electrics, heating and A/C in new houses and villas. Involve me early, when the plans are still being made, so we can plan everything in the right place.
Are you really available 24/7 for emergencies?
Yes. For real emergencies such as burst pipes, power failures or a leaking water heater you can call me day and night, also at weekends.
Can you combine plumbing, electrical and handyman work in one job?
Yes, that is one of the main advantages of working with me. In a renovation I handle the pipes, the wiring and much of the finishing, so you do not have to coordinate several tradesmen.
How do I get an estimate?
