Plumber, Electrician and Renovation Help in Margarites and Eleftherna
Margarites is a beautiful hill village in the Mylopotamos area, at around 300 metres, and one of the best known pottery centres of Crete. Potters' workshops and ceramic shops are found all through the village, which has kept its stone houses, narrow streets and a square with views down the valley and towards the sea. About two kilometres away lie the archaeological site and museum of Ancient Eleftherna, and small settlements such as Tzanakiana and Tripodo are close by. It is a peaceful area, home to families who have lived here for generations and to foreigners who fell in love with an old house and restored it.
Margarites is right at the edge of my service area: from Hersonissos it takes me about 80 minutes to get here. So this is a place for planned work rather than quick call-outs. I come for renovations, rewiring and plumbing in restored village houses, heating and stoves, water pumps and tanks, and regular checks for owners who are not on the island all year.
When I take on a job here, I prepare it carefully and plan a full day so that one trip covers as much as possible.
